DragonVale Updated with Cooperative Breeding

DragonVale

DragonVale, Backflip Studios’ popular dragon breeding mobile game, has been updated with a major new social update, bringing cooperative breeding to the experience. The game, which was first released in 2011, has established itself as a leader in the genre, and sits at No. 83 on the top grossing iPhone apps chart, as of this writing.

With this DragonVale 3.0 update, players have access to the Cooperative Breeding Cave, where they can combine their dragons with their friends’ dragons, potentially unlocking rare hybrids that may otherwise be unavailable without this feature. There’s also the chance to receive a special twin dragon, or some dragons which are only available for a limited time.

As part of this update, all players will receive one of five new Galaxy Dragons. The rest can only be obtained through the Cooperative Breeding Cave.

In a statement, Julian Farrior, CEO of Backflip Studios, commented on the release:

DragonVale launched in 2011, and we have seen more than 35 million downloads worldwide with a large portion of our fan base actively playing the game since its inception. We strive to innovate within the game to keep players engaged and entertained. Cooperative Breeding not only unlocks new dragon combinations, but encourages social interactions and collaboration between players.

DragonVale is available to download for free on iTunes App Store, Google Play and Amazon Appstore.
