Some Instagram users are receiving emails from the Facebook-owned photo- and video-sharing network with highlights from users they follow.
Instagram confirmed to Josh Constine of TechCrunch that these highlights emails mark the first time it sent its users any sort of promotional or engagement emails.
The emails contain some of the best posts from Instagram accounts followed by the recipients.
According to Constine, the feature is so new that there is no email settings menu, and after he unsubscribed, he was unable to resubscribe.
