GE chairman and CEO Jeff Immelt will be the inaugural guest on \"The Chat,\" a Facebook video interview show being launched by Fortune Thursday.
Editor at large Patricia Sellers will sit down with Immelt at Facebook’s headquarters in Menlo Park, Calif., where he will answer questions from the magazine staff, the live studio audience and via Facebook by Fortune readers.
Sellers wrote in a Fortune post:
Future shows will have Fortune assistant managing editor Adam Lashinsky or me sitting down with other business leaders renowned for innovative thinking, big ideas and a willingness to tell it like it is. The Chat reflects the increasing focus of Time Inc., Fortune‘s parent, on video — particularly video that travels globally via social media.
In the coming months, The Chat will feature interactive interviews with other leaders who represent a cross-section of Fortune’s franchises, including the Fortune 500, Most Admired Companies, Best Companies to Work for, Most Powerful Women, 40 Under 40 and World’s Greatest Leaders.
Readers: Will you check out The Chat?
