Facebook named an executive with extensive e-commerce experience to lead monetization efforts for its Messenger applications.
Product manager for Messenger Stan Chudnovsky announced in a Facebook post that Frerk-Malte Feller will assume the role.
Feller had been president of Zipcar in London. Prior to that, he served as general manager of PayPal Australia, established and ran PayPal Germany and worked with eBay.

Today is a very good day. I am very happy to announce that Frerk-Malte Feller joined the Messenger team to lead our monetization efforts. Malte has done awesome things before coming here … having joined eBay in 1999, he helped to grow eBay Germany before starting, running and building PayPal Germany into that beautiful business that it is today, moved on to become GM of PayPal Australia, moved on to become president at ZipCar in London and now he is here with us! We are going to build great things together and we are going to have fun doing it. Malte – welcome!!
