Crayon, which provides marketing companies with visual inspiration for website design, announced this week a $1.5 million round of angel investment.
Among the investors are Dharmesh Shah and Brian Halligon, Hubspot co-founders. Other angel investors include Mike Volpe, Eric Ries, Ed Roberts, Othman Laraki, Jonah Goodheart. and Jennifer Lum.
Common Angels and Boston Syndicats are also backing Crayon, which will use this round of funding to accelerate product development.
Crayon co-founder and CEO Jonah Lopin commented on the funding in a press release:
Marketers spend tens of billions of dollars every year building websites, landing pages, and email campaigns, but there’s never been a great way for marketers to get great ideas. Millions of marketers out there are hungry for a radically better way to get inspired and find the ideas and insights that can help them grow their businesses.
