Mobile application developer Delvv launched Chatty Keyboard on Android. The keyboard is powered by machine learning, and it was designed to recommend sharable content and actions to users based on what they type.
Chatty Keyboard analyzes the context of users' conversations, and it will recommend GIFs, emoji, words and auto-corrections to users as they type. In addition to recommending content, the keyboard can recognize common phrases and connect to other apps to help users complete tasks.
For instance, if a user is planning a meeting with a friend, the keyboard will display an action tag for the user to tap, which will take them to the screen for creating a new calendar event. This event will be pre-filled with information taken from the conversation, such as the meeting time. Additional actions allow users to set reminders, order cars from ride-sharing services and make phone calls.
Finally, users can customize the look of the keyboard with different themes.
In a statement, Felice Miller Gabriel, founder and president of Delvv, commented:
Chatty Keyboard is made for people who want to communicate fast, creatively and expressively. You can waste a lot of time hunting for the perfect emoji or GIF, or switching back and forth between different apps on your smartphone. By analyzing your typed thoughts, Chatty Keyboard fills in the blanks. You're never at a loss for words or images, and getting things done is faster and easier.
Chatty Keyboard is available to download for free on Google Play. The app is coming soon to iOS.
