Jennifer Lawrence will never take a selfie, though she is pretty good at photobombing. In an interview on BBC’s Radio 1 Breakfast show, the star revealed that she’s not only inept at, but against, social media. It’s a weird thing that a young actress like Lawrence wouldn’t want to play with everyone else on the Internet. You can hear the full interview here, but thank Marie Claire for this quote:
“I will never get it,” she said. “I’m not very good on phones or technology. I cannot really keep up with emails. Also, the idea of Twitter is so unthinkable to me. I don’t really understand what it is. It’s like this weird enigma people talk about. It’s fine. I respect that. But no, I’ll never get a Twitter. If you ever see a Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter that says it’s me, it’s certainly not.”
She’ll never get “a Twitter” because the Internet is a mean, hard place. And I guess if you were hacked and mocked there every day, you’d feel the same. But you would just say “Twitter” right?
