The latest scam to surface on Facebook dangles a nonexistent form for the social network’s Facebook for Business page as bait.
Jovi Umawing of Malwarebytes Labs wrote in a blog post that users are seeing notifications directing them to a fake Facebook for Business page, where they are asked to \"confirm to access Facebook for Business\" by providing their email addresses or phone numbers, passwords, security questions and the answers to those questions.
Once the information is obtained, victims are brought to another false page, which reads (unedited):
Thank you for contacting Facebook for Business.
Please wait for reply message via email address.
We have accepted your submission for approval, we will contact you shortly for your verification request, it may take up to 48h.
Sincerely,
Facebook for Business
The Facebook for Business scam follows news last month of a \"Facebook recovery\" scam, also reported by Malwarebytes Labs.
