Twitter’s Photo Filters Just Got More Like Instagram’s (Mashable)
Twitter just tweaked its photo-editing features in an update that makes it feel a lot more like Instagram. The company updated its iOS and Android app Tuesday with new adjustable photo filters to give users more control over how filtered images look. TechCrunch Each filter can be double-tapped to reveal an intensity slider so you can lay that sepia effect on heavy or light to get the perfect hipster sheen. Twitter first launched photo filters back in 2012 after Instagram made them a fad. Digit Users get options like Radiant, Warm, Positive, Golden and Stark. Twitter has been competing with Facebook for user base for a while now.

Federal authorities on Tuesday arrested a man from Washington state for allegedly threatening to kill Darren Wilson, the former police officer who killed 18-year-old Michael Brown on Aug. 9 in Ferguson, Mo. Jaleel Tariq Abdul-Jabbaar, a 48-year-old from Kirkland, Wash., is charged with three counts of making interstate threats because of threats he allegedly posted on Facebook against Wilson and his family. Authorities said he was taken into custody on Tuesday morning without incident.

YouTube, which has seen its market share in Korea grow by nearly 40 times in the last six years, is now facing a fallout with a coalition of domestic broadcasting companies after failing to secure a deal for more competitive advertising revenue rates, local outlet CNB News reports.
