Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Zynga has launched a hefty new content update in FarmVille 2: Country Escape on mobile devices. The update will see gamers Level 15+ “playing cupid” by helping Johnny plan the perfect Valentine’s Day for Heidi through quests and decorations around the farm.
As with the game’s other major events, this Valentine’s Day celebration comes in multiple parts. First, players can complete new quests by harvesting specific crops, sending their Farmhands to key locations around the farm, and crafting new recipes.
As players send their Farmhands to areas like the Glade or Pond, they’ll have a chance to receive specific Valentine’s Day recipe items, including Cherries. Another key item, Yellow Roses, are received at random when tending Corn Fields. These event-specific items are used in new recipes, including Cherry Pound Cake, Almond Scones and Rose Water. For each of these recipes users craft, they’ll receive a present.
These presents contain various prizes, including Candy Hearts (which must be collected in bulk for coins and other rewards), as well as specific Valentine Gifts, which deal with the event’s other main section. Users need to collect these Valentine Gifts to complete the game’s Valentine Wish List, and ultimately receive the event’s greatest rewards: Keys (premium currency), Speed Seeds and much more.
To help players complete this event, the Hugh Cupid character is available to purchase as an extra Farmhand for 100 Keys. When used at a location like the Glade or Pond, he gives users a greater chance of finding rare event crafting ingredients. Hugh will expire from players’ farms 21 days after he’s been purchased.
The Country Escape Valentine’s Day event is on from now until March 1. FarmVille 2: Country Escape is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store, Google Play and the Amazon Appstore.
