Bandai Namco Entertainment America announced the release of Fortress Legends on iOS and Android. The fortress-building game allows users to team up with other players in real-time to attack enemy fortresses.
In Fortress Legends, each player constructs his or her own fortress, which will automatically generate gold and mana, the game's resources, over time. Users can spend gold and mana on upgrades for their fortresses, as well as on defenses like traps and minions. Users can also add new rooms to their fortresses as they progress.
Players can collect additional resources by attacking other players' fortresses in real-time raids. The game allows up to four players to team up in each raid to attack an enemy fortress.
In each raid, players must make their way to the Oblime Stone located somewhere within the enemy's fortress. Users are challenged to defeat the boss of the stone in order to successfully complete the raid.
Gamers can use a virtual joystick to move, and tap buttons to trigger normal and special attacks. Gamers can collect gold, mana and crafting materials as they destroy objects and defeat enemies in each fortress.
Players can use crafting materials to create new equipment for their heroes over time. As users collect extra equipment, they can fuse unwanted items into other items to make them stronger.
In a statement, Jeferson Valadares, general manager and vice president of product development at Bandai Namco Entertainment America, commented:
Battling in real-time alongside real players is definitely one of the most adrenaline-driven features in Fortress Legends. The combination of being able to team-up with friends to go head-to-head against other players in exciting combat and designing and building impenetrable fortresses brings a truly unique and dynamic gameplay model to mobile games. We can't wait for players to start hacking and building away in Fortress Legends.
Fortress Legends is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store and Google Play.
