This is one for the history books.

In case you missed it, about 800,000 people tuned in to Facebook Live on Friday to watch two Buzzfeed staffers explode a Watermelon using nothing but rubberbands.

Here's the moment when the distorted fruit finally caves under the pressure of about 600 or so.

The Twitterverse was quick to chime in on the groundbreaking moment in history, while budding entrepreneurs sought to capitalize through Watermelon merchandise.

The explosion even spawned a slew of hard-hitting investigative pieces.

Meanwhile, others were left scratching their head, asking existential questions such as "How did I get here?"

What a time to be alive.
