Mobile Game Roundup: Dungeon Monsters, Legacy Quest and More

If you’re looking for a new mobile game to play this weekend, there are lots of new titles for you to try, including Timenauts from DeNA. The side-scrolling strategy game allows players to collect a variety of heroes and complete battles to restore the flow of time.

Looking for a different game to play? Here’s a look at some of the additional games released this week.

Dungeon Monsters (Free on iOS, Android): This first-person dungeon crawler from Mana Cube allows players to explore dungeons and defeat enemies using a team of creatures. Gamers can collect over 500 unique creatures, and can use their excess creatures to upgrade those they’d like to keep. Users can also evolve their creatures by collecting the necessary units to do so. Dungeon Monsters offers both story dungeons and special event dungeons.

Rope Racers (Free on iOS) – This multiplayer game from Small Giant Games challenges players to swing and run through environments as they race against nine other players. During each race, players tap and hold on the screen to attach a rope to the ceiling, which allows their character to swing and gain speed. Players must watch out for obstacles as they run, and can collect coins as they complete races. These coins can be spent on upgrades for their character(s), with new characters being available to purchase with premium currency. Rope Racers is coming to Android on March 17.

Carnage TV (Free on Android) – This arcade game from Brutal Studio was inspired by the classic arcade game Smash TV, and challenges players to survive while fighting waves of enemies. Gamers can unlock new guns as they play. Carnage TV is expected to launch on iPhone later this month.

Dragon Land (Free on iOS, Android) – This platforming game from Social Point asks gamers to help a dragon named Blaze rescue his dragon friends, who have been captured by Evil Boss Borg. In each level, players will use a virtual joystick and buttons to move, jump and glide. Gamers can jump on enemies to defeat them, and can collect coins as they explore each environment. As players progress, they’ll unlock new playable dragons, and can spend their coins on upgrades to make these dragons stronger. In addition to a campaign mode, Dragon Land offers quick play challenges and real-time multiplayer races.

Legacy Quest (Free on iOS, Android) – This hack-n-slash action RPG from Nexon Korea and Socialspiel Entertainment challenges players to clear over 70 dungeons on seven difficulty levels. Players have access to heroes in three classes (mage, warrior and rogue), and will receive a new hero for free anytime one of their heroes falls in battle. These new heroes will carry on their particular bloodline’s special traits and crafted items.

In addition to these new releases, here are some of the previously released games which have come to new platforms.

Royal Trouble: Hidden Adventures from G5 Entertainment – Free to try on Google Play, Amazon; previously released on iOS.

Groove Planet from Animoca Brands – Free on Android; previously released on iOS.
