Cola Messenger Looks to Simplify Text Messaging on iOS

Cola has announced the public launch of its Cola Messenger app on iOS. The app looks to eliminate the need for users to bounce between apps while chatting with friends by allowing them to send interactive ‘Cola Bubbles’ in the chat window.

When chatting in Cola Messenger, users can send text messages, photos and videos to others, or send Cola Bubbles relating to specific information. Currently, Cola Bubbles allow users to create polls and shared to-do lists, as well as share their current location with their contact(s) and set meeting times based on each user’s schedule.

Users can send messages and Cola Bubbles to others who haven’t downloaded the app, and these users can respond to messages or bubbles via their device’s Web browser, without downloading the app themselves.

In a statement, Cola CEO, David Temkin, commented:

The motto of our company is ‘text less, do more’ because we know all too well the pain of trying to do one simple thing with text, and having it turn into an endless process of app hopping, back and forth suggestions, questions, and time-wasting nonsense. By bringing interactive bubbles into the conversation, we let you do more with less texting and get back to your life.

Cola Messenger is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store.
