Bethesda Launches Fallout Pip-Boy Companion App for Fallout 4

Bethesda Softworks has announced the release of the Fallout Pip-Boy app on mobile devices. The app is the companion app for the Fallout 4 video game, which will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on November 10.

The Fallout Pip-Boy app turns players’ phones into a virtual Pip-Boy, the device the in-game character wears on his or her wrist in Fallout 4. The app allows players to connect to the console game and access their data, like their character’s inventory and stats, while away from home.

Players can also access the game’s map and radio from the Pip-Boy app, as well as their holotape mini-games. The Atomic Command game is included in the app for free, and challenges players to tap to aim and fire rockets at enemy bombs to eliminate them before they can reach the ground and destroy famous landmarks. Each game continues so long as one landmark remains standing at the end of each level.

The Fallout Pip-Boy app is available to download for free on the iTunes App StoreGoogle Play and Windows Phone Store. The special Pip-Boy Edition of the Fallout 4 console game includes a wearable Pip-Boy replica, which was designed to hold a variety of smartphones (thanks to customizable foam inserts) and offer a more realistic experience while using the app.
