The vast majority of millennials in Mexico are active on social media and instant messaging platforms, reveals new data.
The Competitive Intelligence Unit (CIU) polled 20 to 30 year-olds in Mexico and found that 96 percent used at least one social media site.
The study also found that 95 percent used instant messaging.
Curiously, just 57 percent of millennials in Mexico have a smartphone, indicating that desktop-based social networking and instant messaging is still popular in the country.
Millennials make up slightly more than half of all internet users in Mexico, and about two-thirds (64.3 percent) of social media users.
