Royal Bank of Scotland will launch Facebook at Work to 30,000 employees by March and all 100,000 members of its work force by the end of 2016.
Facebook said in an email to SocialTimes that RBS has been running a pilot with more than 100 employees since July, adding:
During the pilot, employees found interesting ways to share what they were working on and were more engaged with senior management. Because of this, RBS has decided to adopt FB@Work across its entire network.
The social network added that the RBS partnership marks the largest deployment to date of Facebook at Work, as well as the first bank to sign on for the service, saying in the email:
This is an interesting look at how an entrenched global enterprise–a large bank–is embracing the collaborative culture and innovative communication. A more collaborative workplace is a more productive one, and RBS sees that.
