Twitter users do not confine themselves to tweeting, as a survey by GlobalWebIndex found that 93 percent of them also have Facebook accounts.
According to GWI, 78 percent of Twitter users are also on Google+ and 76 percent are YouTube users.
Speaking of YouTube, GWI uncovered similar results, as 90 percent of users of the Google-owned video-sharing network have Facebook accounts, while 81 percent were on Google+ and 69 percent on Twitter.
GWI said in an email to SocialTimes:
Clearly, then, we need to divorce ourselves from the idea that the rise of one platform automatically means the decline of another. Most people are using multiple networks — and it’s a trend that will only get more pronounced as messaging applications continue to grow in popularity.
